I love the rain
In my home town
I love the rain
That makes everything look so fresh and green
I had to drive through sunny California
To find it out
That I love the rain
In my home town

California is so beautiful
It looks so fine
But I really miss the green fields of my hometown in the flatlands
So I think: I – I love the rain

I’ve been to the island
Where the emerald lizards dwell
I love to stroll on sandy beach
The sleepless nights beside the hippie hotel
But after a while my soul’s getting thirsty
It’s aching for the colour green
And I need some rain
To wash myself clean

Formentera is so beautiful
It looks so fine
But I really miss the green fields of my hometown in the flatlands
So I think: I – I love the rain
